Garage door marketing case studies
How three garage door brands we market around Lima, Ohio show up on Google today, what we did for each, and what is still unfinished. Every ranking on this page was checked on November 7, 2026.
First in the Map Pack and first in the regular results
Same Day Garage Door has served Lima since 2010. We built its website from scratch so that every job and every town it serves has its own page, and so customers can book online without waiting for a callback.
What we did
- Built a custom Next.js website with a page for each of its 10 services and 30 service areas
- Added online booking, with a dashboard for confirming jobs
- Built three free tools for homeowners: a door designer, an issue finder and a remote programming guide
- Set up a blog that publishes new articles automatically from our SEO dashboard
- Added local business, service and FAQ structured data so search engines can read the site clearly
- Produced commercials and short videos for ads and social media

Still to do: Findlay is the gap. The business is third in the Map Pack there and not yet on page one of the regular results.
Second in the Map Pack, with a new site structure just launched
Ohio Garage Door Guru had a large WordPress site, but no dedicated pages for its main services, and many of its town pages were close to identical. We audited the site in October 2026 and started rebuilding its structure.
What we did
- Audited its town pages, titles, links and page structure
- Added six service pages: repair, installation, replacement, spring replacement, opener replacement and bottom seal
- Wrote new titles and descriptions for 10 town pages and the services page
- Fixed 16 broken links and merged duplicate posts
- Redesigned the contact page, with local business and FAQ structured data
This work went live in late October 2026, so it is too early to credit these rankings to it. We will re-check them as the new pages settle.

Still to do: Each town page still needs its own local content. After that, the targets are the regular results for its main repair searches, and Findlay.
An early-stage example: on the map with one review
Garage Door Services Near Me is the smallest of the three Google profiles, with one review so far. We have only done cleanup work on this site, so treat it as a starting point and not a finished result.
What we did
- Cleaned up broken links and post authorship across the site
- Corrected the business address in its structured data and on its contact page
- Removed page-builder template pages from search results

Still to do: The homepage needs a proper title and heading, the town pages need their own descriptions, and the profile needs more Google reviews.
What these numbers mean
We searched Google on November 7, 2026 with the location set to Lima, Ohio. Searches marked * name the town in the search and were checked without setting Google’s location to that town. Review counts and ratings are what Google showed that day.
Rankings change over time and differ by device and by where the person searching is standing. We market all three brands, so they can appear in the same searches. These results are not a promise that another business will rank the same way.
